Why This Fellowship?

Music isn’t just for performances. It belongs in everyday classroom life.

Through simple songs, rhythm, movement, and storytelling, teachers will learn practical routines that:

  • Improve listening and focus

  • Strengthen phonological awareness

  • Deepen reading comprehension

  • Support transitions and self-regulation

  • Build classroom community

You do not need to be a singer. You do not need a music background.

We begin where you are. Children respond to consistency and joy — not perfection.

What’s Included

  • Spring Break Intensive (March 16–19, 2026)

  • Ongoing cohort meetings (April–September)

  • 4 in-class co-taught lessons (supportive, not evaluative)

  • Coaching and classroom-ready materials

 Each fellow receives:

  • $1,500 honorarium (Spring) or $1,000 (Fall)

  • $150 classroom instrument kit to keep
